Rio – Pantanal & Bonito – Iguazu Falls

Day
1
Arrival at the International Airport of Rio de Janeiro
and transfer to the chosen hotel. Spend the
rest of the day at leisure. At night we suggest you to taste
the typical Brazilian food at the
Mariu’s restaurant.

Day
2
After the breakfast our guide will meet you at the
hotel and take you to a full day excursion. The tour
starts visiting one of the 7 wonders of the modern world, the
statue of Christ the Redeemer on the
Corcovado Mountain. After having lunch at a typical barbecue
restaurant our guide will continue the
tour thru the historical part of downtown with the beautiful
colonial style churches and houses. Finally
at the end of our tour you will visit the amazing “Sugar
Loaf” and be able to see Rio from another
point of view. Spend the rest of the day at leisure. Our guide
will be glad to tell you about our folkloric
dance show, where you will be able to watch a sample of our
carnival and several others folkloric
dances of Brazil. |

Day
3
After breakfast our guide will meet you at the hotel
and take you to a half day visit to the biggest
urban forest in the world in the middle of Rio, it’s 33
km2 of Atlantic rainforest. During this visit you
will do an easy hiking thru the forest and observe the nature.

Day
4
After an early breakfast your guide will pick you
up at the hotel and transfer you to the airport of Rio de
Janeiro for a flight to Campo Grande. Arrival in Campo Grande;
your private driver will welcome you
(with name-board); you will be assisted with your luggage, followed
by the direct transfer to the chosen
pousada in Pantanal. Upon arrival at the pousada our English
speaking guide will welcome you and show
you your room for a refreshing shower after the long trip and
not too long after that, the delicious dinner
will be served in the pousada’s restaurant. During your
stay the following tours will be scheduled at the
pousada: horse riding, boat rides, canoeing, trekking, bird
watching, photo safari and nocturnal viewing
of caimans. (B, D) |

Day
5 & 6
The trips mentioned above are scheduled at the pousada.
The trips will be carefully selected, depending
on the climate and time of the year and will be guided by a
local English speaking guide that know all
about the flora and fauna that make this place unique. To avoid
the intense heat during the day, the
tours are taking place early in the morning and mid-afternoon,
at these times of the day, the possibilities
of seeing the movement of the animals is a lot bigger. During
your stay all excursions and meals are included.

Day
7
After breakfast we leave the Pantanal behind when
we head for the National Park of Serra da Bodoquena,
there we will visit the Boca da Onça Ecotour. Here a
safe trail leads you through the jungle about 5.5km
(3.1 mi) with magnificent scenes on every step you take. You
will see hundred-years-old trees and 12
waterfalls, including the highest of the State of South Mato
Grosso, the Cachoeira Boca da Onça
(Jaguars mouth waterfall) with a height of 156m (512 ft). There
are several stops for a refreshing dip in
the river Salobra or at natural swimming pools with a massage,
offered by the falling water, which the
Indians already enjoyed. Lunch is included and back to the reception
you can take a rest or use the
swimming pools with hydro-massage and real typical fish of this
region. Transfer to Bonito at the end of
the afternoon, where you check-in at the Hotel. Spend the rest

8
After breakfast, visit to the Gruta do Lago Azul.
The trail will start with a 40 minutes walk to the cave,
then, after descending 100 meters, you will see the lake with
crystal clear water. The depth is 72 meters
and in the morning when the sunbeams hit the lake, the water
will have an intense blue color. In the
afternoon visit to Rio da Prata, lunch will be served here.
After lunch start of the snorkeling tour. Our diving
begins at the East of Olho D água River. The access to
there is by an agreeable stroll through the
interpretative trail in the Da Prata ciliary’s river forest.
In this course you will find the rich flora and if you are
a little bit lucky maybe you can see other wild animals as the
mutum, the udu, the nail-monkey, the cutia
and the queixada. Walk through rustic trails for more than 1.6
mile. It has the most transparent fresh-water
rivers in the world, rich in aquatic fauna and flora. (B, L)

Day
9
After breakfast departure to Foz do Iguazu (approx.
10 hours). After arrival in Foz do Iguazu in the late
afternoon check in at the chosen hotel situated in the city
center of Foz do Iguazu. Spend the rest of the
day at leisure.

10
After breakfast our guide will meet you at the hotel
and will take you for an incredible tour at the Iguazu Falls,
in the Brazilian side. There, if you’re interested, you
can take a boat trip thru the waterfalls (not included).
Visit to the bird park where you will be able to observe the
most beautiful and rare birds in the south hemisphere.
Spend the rest of the day at leisure.

11
After breakfast your guide will pick you up at the
hotel and visit the waterfalls in the Argentinean side. Spend
the rest of the day at leisure.

12
After breakfast, transfer out to the international
airport of Foz de Iguazu and flight home. |
