Brazil Standard Program IV

14 days / 13 nights
Rio – Iguazu Falls – Manaus - Salvador
Season: 2007 / 2008 (Except Holidays)


Day 1

Arrival at the International Airport of Rio de Janeiro and transfer to the chosen hotel. Spend the
rest of the day at leisure. At night we suggest you to taste the typical Brazilian food at the
Mariu’s restaurant.

 
Day 2

After the breakfast our guide will meet you at the hotel and take you to a full day excursion. The
tour starts visiting one of the 7 wonders of the modern world, the statue of Christ the Redeemer on
the Corcovado Mountain. After having lunch at a typical barbecue restaurant our guide will continue
the tour thru the historical part of downtown with the beautiful colonial style churches and houses.
Finally at the end of our tour you will visit the amazing “Sugar Loaf” and be able to see Rio from
another point of view. Spend the rest of the day at leisure. Our guide will be glad to tell you about
our folkloric dance show, where you will be able to watch a sample of our carnival and several others
folkloric dances of Brazil.

Day 3

After breakfast our guide will meet you at the hotel and take you to a half day visit to the biggest urban
forest in the world in the middle of Rio, it’s 33 km2 of Atlantic rainforest. During this visit you will do an
easy hiking thru the forest and observe the nature. The rest of the day at leisure (please ask the guide
about optional tours).

Day 4

After breakfast our guide will meet you at the hotel and take you to a full day visit to the tropical islands
of Rio. The boat tour includes lunch at one of the islands.

 
Day 5

After breakfast our guide will take you to the airport and assist you during your check in. Flight to Iguazu Falls.
After arriving at the Iguazu Falls, our guide will meet you at the airport and will take you to the chosen hotel.
Visit to the bird park where you will be able to observe the most beautiful and rare birds of the south hemisphere.

Day 6

After breakfast our guide will meet you at the hotel and will take you for an incredible tour at the Iguazu Falls,
in the Brazilian side. There, if you’re interested, you can take a boat trip thru the waterfalls (not included).
The rest of the day at leisure.

Day 7

After breakfast, transfer out to the airport and flight to Manaus. Arrival in Manaus. Reception with local juice
after which guests will be shown to the rooms. Following visit to the Monkey Jungle. Dinner and evening tour
by canoe with opportunity for Alligator Spotting. Overnight at the lodge.

 
Day 8

Breakfast followed by Nature Hike. Lunch . After a short rest, visit to the home of local Amazonian residents
with fishing tour . Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 9

Breakfast ,check-out and full day tour to the Meeting of the Waters including lunch. Then optional canoe ride
with an opportunity for Piranha Fishing. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 10

Breakfast .Free time to enjoy the natural pools. Arrival in Manaus and transfer to the airport and flight
to Salvador.

Salvador, the first capital of Brazil and now the capital of the state of Bahia, is a magical mixture of all
the races and cultures that created Brazil. Considered one of the most beautiful cities in the world for its
beautiful beaches, it’s a perfect place to get to know a little bit more about Brazilian music, dance and
culture! We suggest during your stay to visit the rehearsal of Oludum, one of the most traditional music
groups of the Brazilian Carnival.

 
Day 11

After breakfast, our guide will take you to a half day city tour, where you will have the opportunity to
taste a little bit of this city. Spend the rest of the day at leisure.
Day 12

After Breakfast, we will spend all day long at Praia do Forte (Fort Beach), later return to the hotel. Spend
the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 13

Day at leisure. Please contact your local guide for optional excursions.

Day 14

After breakfast transfer out to the international airport of Salvador and flight home.
